Business Analyst

Established in 1870, the Port Adelaide Football Club is one of Australia's leading sporting organisations with a proud, successful history in both the AFL and SANFL competitions. 

An exciting opportunity has emerged for an experienced Business Analyst to join the Club.

Reporting directly to the General Manager, Consumer Business & Marketing, the successful candidate will work across the Club’s consumer and commercial business teams supporting all reporting, data and decision-making processes. This is a hands-on, collaborative role where you will work with all departments in order to elevate data and insights.


Specific responsibilities include:

  • Fan Data Strategy
  • Reporting
  • Analysis and Interpretation
  • Data Collection and Maintenance
  • Project Support


To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • 2-4 year’s experience as a data or business analyst
  • Degree in Business and Data Analytics, or related field
  • Experience with use of databases and data visualisation tools including Tableau
  • Experience in developing data analysis and insights for customer marketing campaigns and initiatives
  • Working knowledge of data management and data governance processes
  • Up to date knowledge of relevant privacy regulations and laws
  • Demonstrated technical expertise in data analysis and report creation in Tableau and Microsoft Excel
  • A creative and investigative mindset into data nuances and problem resolution skills
  • A proven ability to proactively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders with highly developed communication skills and ability to explain data insights
  • A self-starter mentality who seeks continuous improvement
  • A team first attitude with the ability to adapt within a highly dynamic environment

Flexibility and availability to work outside of standard working hours including game days, club events and some interstate travel is a requirement of the role.
